Dog ear clean & plucking
Service Description
We always examine the ear and check for any redness, discharge or bad smell. The presence of a small amount of light-colored wax is normal. However, if there are a lot of them, the ears are very red, or there is pus or a fetid odor, this is a sign of a problem and requires veterinary attention, and we advise you to contact your veterinarian! We take a cotton pad and gently wipe the entrance to the ear with damp cotton - this will remove dirt or excess sulfur. Insert the tip of the ear cleaner into the ear canal, being careful not to push it in too far, and massage the base of the ear to help the cleaner pass into the ear canal. Remove excess detergent with damp cotton. Repeat the process for the other ear. If your veterinarian has prescribed ear drops for you, it is best to apply them within a short period of time after we have cleaned them. This ensures that the medicine effectively enters the ear and is absorbed without being left on excess wax. PLUCKING. What does it mean to Pluck Dog Ear Hair? Plucking a dog's ear is when we gently pull or tweeze the hair from the inside of a dog's ear. The theory is that removing the hair will keep it from blocking the canal, allowing more air to circulate, which helps prevent ear infections and moisture build-up.
